Anna Brown is nearly forty when she earns her college degree and seeks a position at Casey's Institute, a juvenile detention center located in the Missouri Ozarks. Though she is afraid of animals, Michael Grant hires her to oversee a pet therapy program. Dr. Michael Grant never socializes with Casey's staff, but taking Anna to dinner is only the first exception he's willing to make. Overcoming a fear of dogs isn't Anna's only challenge. She must let go of her preconceived notions about men - Michael Grant in particular. Michael feels certain Anna will turn him away if she ever learns the truth about his past. Learning a lesson from God's unfailing grace, Anna and Michael must be willing to forgive themselves before they can both take, and give one another, another chance.
